Swap & shares are community gatherings where residents come together and bring excess harvest from yards, plant propagations and seeds to share. Participants do not need to bring anything to join in the fun, everyone is welcome to the fresh produce and other goods to share.Hosting is simple. Sign up, tell your neighbors, and man the table. You can make it as simple or involved as you would like. Support and available materials provided. The reservations, adverts, and promotion are covered by the city.
San Leandro has an unique abundance of citrus fruits. SLFSP envisions a future where local lemons are sold first, generating a circular and sustainable economy within our community. We are starting off this project with organizing food recovery initiatives in our community and registering fruit trees in our community. Join us in realizing this vision by signing up to volunteer to harvest and/ or sign up to have your tree harvested!
